On Saturday 30th May, we hosted our first of six Go Ride racing sessions. The children took part at U8, U10 and U12 in a variety of races including a time trial, sprint, handicap and The Devil. The children really enjoyed the racing, pushed their legs to win their races and, best of all, competed with a smile on their faces.
We hope the parents enjoyed the first of our races and will be back over the next five weeks to make the series a fantastic family event.
For me the highlight of the morning was Alfie Green's sportsmanship. During the U8 one lap sprint, Alfie overtook Ben Gaunt on the last corner, then Ben came back and pipped him on the line. Alfie went straight over to Ben, 'high fived' him and said 'well done' (see picture top right).
